Proof of Hashrate (PoH) Layer 1 Blockchain
HomeChain is a revolutionary Layer 1 blockchain built on a modular blockchain framework and Ethermint (EVM), introducing a novel Proof of Hashrate (PoH) consensus mechanism coupled with a deep 3D referral architecture.
Designed from first principles to be a Permissionless Mesh Network, HomeChain dismantles the barriers to entry that plague legacy blockchains. By intertwining economic incentives with structural self-defense mechanisms, HomeChain ensures that network growth inherently leads to greater decentralization — preventing both hardware monopolies and capital centralization.
Philosophy: Anti-Fragile Mesh — the system becomes stronger under adversarial conditions, not weaker.
Legacy Proof-of-Stake (PoS) systems naturally gravitate toward oligopolies, where massive capital accumulators ("Whales") dominate network consensus. HomeChain solves this through an economic constraint known as The Whale Dilemma.
To maximize rewards, a Whale must build a massive referral downline. However, they are forced to make an impossible choice:
Centralized Tree: If a Whale funnels all hash power into a single shallow referral branch, the protocol triggers an automated throttling mechanism. The maximum voting power derived from any single referral branch is strictly capped at 5%.
Distributed Tree: To bypass the 5% throttle and gain full voting power, the Whale must distribute across a wide, multi-level tree — but doing so forces them to leak 50% of their mining rewards upward to the community via the 21-level referral pool.
| Strategy | Voting Power | Reward Outcome | |----------|-------------|----------------| | Centralized Tree | Throttled to 5% max | Keeps 100% of rewards | | Distributed Tree | Full voting power | Leaks 50% to 21 levels of community | | Mine 100× more | Full voting power | Keeps 100%, but proportional capital cost |
This self-balancing system makes monopolization economically irrational and structurally impossible.
HomeChain utilizes the CometBFT Byzantine Fault Tolerant engine, secured by a dynamic active set of 100 Validators rotating every 1,000 blocks (~50 minutes).
Power = (Hashrate_30d × 0.3) + (TokenStake × BoostFactor × 0.7)
| Component | Weight | Description | |-----------|--------|-------------| | Hashrate (30d) | 30% | Accepted shares over trailing 30 days | | Token Stake | 70% | Staked HOME with boost multiplier |
Staking is Optional — a node can enter the Top 100 purely through consistent hashrate contribution, without any initial capital.
| Tier | Stake | Boost | Entry Level | |------|-------|-------|------------| | Basic | 0 HOME | 1× | Permissionless — no stake needed | | Bronze | 10,000 HOME | 2× | Active miner stake | | Silver | 100,000 HOME | 6× | Mid-tier whale | | Gold | 1,000,000 HOME | 101× | Guardian / Early Pioneer |
To prevent stagnation, 20 of the 100 validator slots are randomly selected via RANDAO — seeded deterministically from the previous block hash — giving long-tail nodes a fair shot at block production.
HomeChain eliminates high barriers to blockchain adoption with an optimized fee structure.
EnsureAccount ante-decorator automatically creates an on-chain account on a user's first transaction. While a nominal gas fee is required to prevent spam (approx. 0.000004 HOME per share), the MiningFeeBypassDecorator ensures that critical mining transactions bypass dynamic gas price spikes in the mempool, guaranteeing constant, low-cost access for miners.1. Economic scarcity is enforced via reward halving per Epoch, not difficulty scaling — maintaining 3-second block times indefinitely.HomeChain operates on a strict zero-premine monetary policy.
| Allocation | Percentage | Purpose | |-----------|-----------|---------| | Mining Rewards | 90% | Emitted over time via Epoch Engine | | Ecosystem & Grants | 5% | Developer grants, ecosystem growth | | Public Sale | 3% | Initial community distribution | | Team & Advisors | 1% | 4-year vesting | | Treasury Reserve | 1% | Protocol treasury |
Max Supply: Strictly capped at 21,000,000,000 (21 Billion) HOME.
| Epoch | Reward/Share | Shares to Fill | Cumulative Supply | |-------|-------------|----------------|------------------| | 1 | 100 HOME | 1,680,000 | 168M | | 2 | 50 HOME | 3,360,000 | 336M | | 3 | 25 HOME | 6,720,000 | 504M | | 4 | 12.5 HOME | 13,440,000 | 672M | | 5 | 6.25 HOME | 26,880,000 | 840M | | … | … | … | … | | ~125 | ~0 | — | ≤ 21B cap |
Period Settlement (Every 100 Blocks, ~5 min):
Daily Settlement (Every 30,000 Blocks, ~24h):
Every miner has an upline chain of up to 21 ancestors. When a miner earns base rewards, their referral pool flows through this chain:
Miner earns 100 HOME
├── 50 HOME → Miner (direct, Period Settlement)
└── 50 HOME → Referral Pool
├── L1 (Direct Referrer): 20% = 10 HOME
├── L2: 4% = 2 HOME
├── L3: 4% = 2 HOME
├── ...
└── L21: 4% = 2 HOME
Referral codes are automatically generated (SHA-256 truncated, 6-char alphanumeric, no ambiguous characters) at zero cost upon registration.
To protect against validator cartels without destabilizing the network, HomeChain replaces hard forks and burns with a Progressive Strike System:
| Level | Trigger | Penalty | |-------|---------|---------| | Warning | >67% empty blocks despite full mempool | 50% epoch rewards slashed | | Penalty | >80% empty blocks + full mempool | Forced unbonding — 7-day cooldown | | Strike | Sustained censorship across 3 epochs | Stake slashed + redistributed to Node Pool |
No forks. No burns. Only progressive, algorithmic defense.
HomeChain includes full Ethermint EVM compatibility (EVM Layer Operational - CustomGetSigners registered and DApp verified), enabling existing Ethereum smart contracts to deploy without modification.

One private key controls both a native address (home1...) and an EVM address (0x...), providing seamless interoperability between the native and Ethereum ecosystems.
HomeChain uses a Hybrid Hashrate-Token Governance model:
This prevents large passive token holders from dominating protocol decisions — active miners always have a meaningful voice.
